Located in Washington, DC, EHT Traceries is thoroughly familiar with the resources of federal and local archival centers and major private collections of material.

Our extensive in-house files, comprehensive library, vast image collection, and computerized database containing information on thousands of buildings, as well as Internet access to repositories throughout the world, all contribute to the firm's research capabilities.

Working closely with owners, architects, and other professionals, EHT Traceries analyzes historic documentation to assist with cultural resource management planning.

The firm's projects include individual buildings, institutional complexes, neighborhoods, cities, and counties.

The staff is highly skilled at interpreting architectural drawings and specifications to determine the impact of proposed work.

Downtown Action Plan

The Weather Bureau

The Weather Bureau Building was constructed in 1940, for administrative staff of the Bureau and several technical divisions, as well as an auditorium for conferences and lectures.


Takoma Central District Plan

The first railway commuter suburb dating to the 1880s, Takoma was conceived and founded by developer, Benjamin F. Gilbert who sought to embody the ideal qualities of rural life while maintaining a proximity to the city.
